Can you answer ?•*???*•msmabjab?•*???*•’s question about Disabilities?:
Hes in special educaiton and has several medical problems. He is also mentally handicapped and physically handicapped. Since he began school 5 years ago they have always came to my moms house and picked him up without incident. This school year, they are asking him to walk to the end of the block and cross busy street to catch bus. There are no bss monitors out here or anything. Does this sound right? Is there any rights for handicapped children in california?
F.Y.I. MY YOUNGER BROTHER IS ADOPTED AND HIS BIOLOGICAL PARENTS NEGLECTED HIM AND HE HAD TO REMOVE PART OF HIS BRAIN. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
F.Y.I. THERE HAVE BEEN TIMES IN THE PAST WHERE THE BUS WAS UNAVAILABLE FOR PICK UP OR DROP AND THE SCHOOL HAD TO USE SCHOOL VANS IN ORDER TO TRANSPORT THE CHILDREN. IN THE CASE THAT THE BUS COULDNT GO DOWN THE ROAD, IS IT STILL OK FOR THEM NOT TO USE THE VANS INSTEAD OF THE BUSES? THE TOWN WE LIVE IN IS VERY SMALL AND THERE ARE NO BUS MONITORS AT ALL. WE ALSO LIVE IN IMPERIAL COUNTY IN CA.

How can I volunteer my time to help the mentally handicapped? I just want to do something but I don’t really know where to go or who to talk to about anyone needing help. I want to just get involved, once every week or every odd week. I’m from Edmonton, Alberta in Canada.

I am attending college in Florida for Spring semester ‘08. I have a physical disability, and once winter is here, I will not longer have insurance coverage through my special children’s coverage. I will have to pay for it on my own. With school and the cost of living away from home, and now needing to pay insurance on my own, does any one know of any disability grants that will cover my schooling?

I know that the chances of a child being born with down syndrome increase dramatically if the mother is over 35 - but what other factors can contribute to a child being born with a physical disability (cerebral palsy) or learning disability (autism)?

I’m thoroughly confused as usual. But, if you have the option to get both short and long term disability insurance why would you? Does the short term cover things the long term doesn’t? Doesn’t long term cover the short term period as well anyway? Or do you have to have both to be covered in the immediate future and long term??? Why does everything have to be so complicated why cant there just be one kind of disability insurance its soo annoying….Which one would you get or would you get both???? arrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggggg. I’m only 28 so don’t know if thats a factor, in relatively good health…but in a profession that can be dangerous. Mental health field, direct care. What about individual policies, should I consider paying outside of the company if they dont offer both of these…..
