How do you feel when you see someone parking in a handicapped spot ?

Can you answer Bipolar Birdy’s question about Disabilities?:

and they obviously are NOT handicapped? How many people with those license plates actually have difficulty walking, like 20%?

Once I saw a woman have to stop her van in the middle of the parking lot to let her handicapped son out, who was in a motorized wheelchair. All the handicapped spots were taken!

Disabilities Feedback: You saw all the handicapped lot were taken…well did you see the person who is driving it, they could have handicap ppl with them too. So I cant judge until I see it with my own eyes.

Disabilities Feedback: Both of my parents are handicapped. You can’t tell by looking at them, but they can’t walk long distances. My dad gets peeved if I drive somewhere and we don’t park in handicapped parking, but another 20-30 feet won’t kill him. If I can’t get a close spot I drop them at the door.
What annoys me is the cart return for handicapped people - they have cart return stalls like forever away from the handicapped stalls. Like - hello!! They have closer parking because they have difficulty walking - why make them walk further to return carts?

Disabilities Feedback: I feel like breaking their legs and giving them a good reason to park there lol.

  12. What kinda question is that? on April 30th, 2009 5:09 am

Disabilities Feedback: Sometimes it irritates me a little, but I realize that not all disabilities are visible. I know people that can walk just fine, for a short distance.

Disabilities Feedback: I know a person who does this all the time. She also drives drunk all the time with her kids in the car. Guess what. The powers that be fixed her. She lost her licence for drunk driving and she can’t get it back because she can’t afford the increased insurance rates. She will never drive again!
I don’t have much sympathy for her because I am sure that God was protecting her kids and also helping the handicapped. He always has the last word. You reap what you sow.
